A number of European projects aim to realize powerful neutron sources on the novel HiCANS technology.
HBS (JCNS)
Partcle source protons with 100 mA proton current and energy of 70 MeV. Target tantalum (Ta).
Three independent target stations with up to 25 instruments total.

ICONE (CEA LLB)
Particle source protons with 60 mA proton current and energy of 30 MeV. Target beryllium (Be).
Two independent target stations with up to 11 instruments total.

ARGITU (ESS Bilbao)
Particle source protons with 32 mA proton current and energy of 31.5 MeV. Target beryllium (Be).
One target station with up to 5 instruments.

SARAF (SOREQ)
Particle source protons or deuterons with 5 mA current and energy of 40 MeV. Target liquid GaIn.
Up to five target stations with at lest five instruments.

LvB (Mirrotron Ltd)
Particle source protons with 20 mA proton current and energy of 8 MeV. Target lithium (Li).
One target station with up to three instruments.

NEPIR (LNL Legnaro)
Particle source protons with 0.75 mA and enrgy of 70 MeV. Target berrylium/tungsten (Be/W).
One or two target stations and irradiation facility.
